Terms of Service

1. Service Description

Weather Deliverance ("the Service") is a non-commercial SMS utility that delivers publicly available National Weather Service (NWS) mountain forecast data to registered users on demand. The Service is operated by Harry Hamlin as a personal project for outdoor safety purposes.

The Service sends no promotional, marketing, or unsolicited messages. All outbound SMS messages are direct responses to an inbound command sent by a registered user. Message frequency depends entirely on how often the user sends requests.

2. Eligibility & Registration

To use the Service, your phone number must be explicitly registered by the service operator. Registration requires direct contact and consent from the user. No messages will be sent to any number that has not been registered.

By registering, you confirm that you are the owner or authorized user of the phone number provided, that you are 18 years of age or older, and that you consent to receive SMS messages from the Service in response to your commands.

3. Opt-In & Opt-Out

Opt-In: Users opt in to the Service by explicitly requesting registration via email or direct contact with the operator. A confirmation SMS is sent upon registration that includes opt-out instructions.

Opt-Out: You may opt out of the Service at any time by replying STOP, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE to any message from the Service. Upon receipt of an opt-out keyword, you will receive one final confirmation message and no further messages will be sent to your number.

Re-subscribe: Reply START after opting out to re-activate your registration.

4. Message Content & Frequency

All messages sent by the Service contain NWS weather forecast data only. No advertising, third-party promotions, or sponsored content is ever included in service messages.

Message frequency is variable and determined entirely by the user. The Service does not send scheduled messages, reminders, or push notifications. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply.

5. Accuracy Disclaimer

Weather data is sourced from publicly available NWS forecasts and is provided for informational purposes only. The Service makes no warranties as to the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any forecast data. Users should not rely solely on this Service for life-safety decisions. Always consult official NWS resources and exercise appropriate judgment in the field.

6. Prohibited Use

You agree not to use the Service to flood the system with automated requests, attempt to access data for unauthorized purposes, or interfere with the operation of the Service. Abuse of the Service will result in removal of your registration without notice.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

8. Changes to Terms

The operator reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
