1. Overview

Powder Trace processes limited information needed to enable its on-demand SMS weather service, respond to commands, maintain opt-in and opt-out status, troubleshoot the service, and meet applicable recordkeeping requirements.

2. Information processed

When you text Powder Trace, the service may process your phone number, inbound message contents, outbound replies, message status, and associated dates and timestamps.

Inbound messages—including START, STOP, HELP, and forecast commands—and their timestamps may be retained as records of consent and service activity.

3. How information is used

• Record and honor START and STOP requests.
• Respond to forecast commands initiated by you.
• Provide help and service confirmations.
• Maintain, secure, debug, and improve Powder Trace.
• Comply with legal and messaging-platform obligations.

Powder Trace does not use mobile information for advertising, marketing, lead generation, or unrelated profiling.

4. Service providers and sharing

Phone numbers, message contents, timestamps, and delivery information may be processed by service providers such as Twilio solely as needed to operate Powder Trace, transmit SMS messages, and support the service.

Mobile opt-in data will not be sold or shared with third parties, affiliates, or lead generators for marketing or promotional purposes. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect the service or its users, or as part of necessary service operations under appropriate restrictions.

5. Retention

Phone numbers, inbound SMS messages, outbound replies, and timestamps may be retained for as long as reasonably needed to document consent and opt-out status, provide the service, investigate issues, and satisfy legal or platform requirements. Records are deleted or de-identified when no longer reasonably needed.

6. Your choices and requests

Text STOP to disable further messages. Text START to re-enable them. To ask about or request deletion of information associated with your number, email info@powdertrace.com. Some consent, opt-out, security, or legal records may be retained where necessary.

7. Security

Powder Trace uses reasonable safeguards intended to protect service data. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.

8. Children

Powder Trace is not directed to children under 13, and the operator does not knowingly collect their personal information.
